AMBER AMULETS IN A MODERN WORLD

What is an Amulet?
Amulets were most often worn around the neck to ward off evil, harm or illness, or to bring good fortune.  It was a protective charm, sometimes worn next to the skin, sometimes in a small bag or pocket.  They have been around for centuries and still are today.

Jews, Christians and Muslims and religions of the Orient and India all have specific amulets and they have had them for centuries.  The biggest difference today is that we are more likely to buy them in a jewelry store.

Amber Amulets Yesterday and Today

Although, amber amulets have a long history in every religion on every continent on earth,  today an amber amulet is more likely to be worn for it's sheer beauty and also (for some) because they believe it will ward off bad forces or make life better.  It is considered one of the strongest amulets.   Some twenty-first century mothers swear when their baby wears amber next to their skin, it lessens the pain of teething.  Other mothers don't worry about babies wearing amber; they hide an amber bead among their baby's clothes to ward off malicious energy.

Why Wear Amber Amulets?

It is said if you need to lighten your emotional load, bring joy into your life and release stress - wear an amber amulet.  It doesn't have to be a symbol of your religion, but it can be if that is your choice.  It can be beads in a bracelet or necklace or a carved brooch or even done like a talisman (which is an amulet with writing on it).  Take a look at some of the amulet stones from our wholesale Baltic amber jewelry collection below -- they are handsome amulets worn around anyone's neck!

Amber amulets are just as popular today as they were thousands of years ago -- and many believe they are equally as powerful too!
